Design and modeling of an on-site greywater treatment system for a hotel building

چکیده
Purpose As the United States is making a significant move toward rejoining Paris Agreement on climate change, there high demand for sustainable solutions across various industries, including construction and hospitality sectors. The aim of this project was to design model an on-site greywater treatment system hotel building effective reuse sewage water. study considered Los Angeles, California, as case location referred respective conditions standards. Design/methodology/approach This options plants such membrane bioreactor (MBR), sequencing batch reactor reverse osmosis with upflow anaerobic sludge blanket which were carefully reviewed modeled using GPS-X software. modeling results verified by hand calculations followed estimation capital operational expenses required implementation plants. Findings Having relatively low expenditure requirements well superior technical performance, MBR plant proved be most solution standards recommended use in buildings. Practical implications Designing several allowed selecting optimal option long run will help preserve eco-system, stay compliant government laws regulations financially sustainable. Originality/value outcomes present provide detailed procedure designing that can used localities similar climate. selected result cost-benefit analysis provides efficient viable relevant industry type
